Newton Dock & Doors Ltd at Unit #101, 19045 54 Avenue, Surrey BC is looking to hire a Welder for a full-time and permanent position.
Job duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Weld iron, aluminum, and other metal components using various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Cut metal materials into required shapes and sizes using cutting machines and hand tools.
- Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Operate bending, rolling, and shear machines to bend, align, and straighten metal parts as required.
- Repair worn or damaged metal components by welding additional metal layers to restore strength and functionality.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet company standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Assess the weldability of different metals and select appropriate welding techniques and materials.
- Perform on-site welding during the installation of commercial doors, frames, and metal staircases in warehouses and commercial buildings.
- Maintain welding tools and equipment and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Experience – Minimum experience of 2 years or more as welder is required.
Education- completion of high school is required.
Wage Rate: $ 38.00 per hour
Hours of work: 30-40 hours per week

Work will be at various locations of the lower mainland.
