Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job duties and responsibilities:-
- Operate as a member of a two-person team or as part of a convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Drive and operate both straight and articulated trucks to deliver goods and materials
- Monitor the vehicle’s condition and conduct inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Carry out brake adjustments
- Expertise in driving in mountainous conditions
- Perform routine maintenance
- Handle emergency roadside repairs
- Conduct inspections before, during, and after trips while managing all vehicle-related aspects
- Communicate and relay information to the central dispatch
- Document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage
- Secure tarps and ensure the safety and security of the cargo
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
