Job requirements:-

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Job duties and responsibilities:-

  • Operate as a member of a two-person team or as part of a convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Drive and operate both straight and articulated trucks to deliver goods and materials
  • Monitor the vehicle’s condition and conduct inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Carry out brake adjustments
  • Expertise in driving in mountainous conditions
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Handle emergency roadside repairs
  • Conduct inspections before, during, and after trips while managing all vehicle-related aspects
  • Communicate and relay information to the central dispatch
  • Document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage
  • Secure tarps and ensure the safety and security of the cargo
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Certificates, licenses, and courses:

Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Transportation/ travel information:

Valid Driver’s licence
