Rocksolid Landsculpting Corporation is seeking an Assistant Foreman/Woman (NOC 82031) for its location in Vancouver, BC. It’s a full-time (30 hours per week), all year round, permanent position, $35.00/hour. Overtime compensation is based on the current BC Employment Standards Act (1.5 times the regular wage paid if the daily hours exceed 8 hours or the weekly hours exceed 40 hours).

We currently have two positions available.
Job duties:
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of ground maintenance workers;
- Assign duties to the workers and train and mentor new employees;
- Oversee and assist in the planning and constructing landscaped environments, including all ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns and softscape features;
- Oversee and assist in the planting residential and commercial lawns and gardens;
- Oversee and assist in the installation of paving stone patios, walkways, driveways, ponds and water features and in the installation of flagstone and other natural stone patios, walkways, and pool decks;
- Oversee and assist in the installation of Retaining Wall systems, including Allan Block, Drystack Basalt, Pisa, and 4×6 Pressure Treated Wood;
- Organize and oversee the excavation of sites and grades;
- Layout sites using laser levels and other equipment;
- Repair and maintain landscape equipment and ensure all safety standards are upheld at all times.

Requirements:
- Must have completed high school;
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history;
- Must have at least three years of landscaping experience;
- Must have an understanding of plant material, soil types, irrigation systems, pest control, and landscape construction methods;
- Must be able to pick up and handle up to 23 kg (50lbs);
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
