JP Paving Stones & Landscaping Inc. (Business address 512 Larch Place, Canmore, AB, T1W 1R9,

Canada) is seeking a Landscape Labourer.

Working conditions:

Wage: $27.00 per hour

Full-time, year-round position

Working location: Various work locations in the Bow Valley

30 – 44 hours per week

Overtimes are paid at 1,5 rate for hours exceeding 44 hours in any given week;

4% vacation paid by-weekly.

Duties:

• Assist with installing patios, walkways, driveways, lawns, decks, and retaining walls.
• Measure, cut, and lay paving stones and natural stone on various surface, such as patios, walkways, ponds, water features, retaining walls.
• Measure and cut timber for the install of fences.
• Dig holes and pour concrete for the install of fence posts.
• Heavy rock lifting, shoveling, wheel-barrowing and raking.
• Laying sod; seeding using appropriate lawn seed mixes.
• Support excavation work and site preparation for landscaping projects.
• Plant and arrange trees, shrubs, flowers, and other softscape elements, such as groundcover with all proper tools.
• Install and ensure proper operation of irrigation systems.
• Hauling material from and to the jobsite.
• Loading and unloading machinery for use at the jobsite
• Remove snow during winter months using trucks with plows for driveways and parking lots.
• Keep job sites clean and safe while protecting existing landscapes during snow removal.
• Apply de-icing products like calcium chloride or rock salt appropriately.
• Inspect and repair landscaping tools during the winter season.

Requirements:

Languages: English

Education: High School

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Landscape Labourer or similar occupation. Valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving a truck with plows.

Security and safety: Criminal Record Check and Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Comfortable working in any weather conditions, Handling

heavy loads, physically demanding – Must be able to lift 50 lbs weight, manual dexterity, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, Hot, Noisy
