We are looking for a child caregiver for our household. He/She will be working at our residence in Edmonton, Alberta. The caregiver will live out and come home to provide services. At the employee’s discretion, if live-in arrangement is most suitable for the candidate, then free room and board will be provided.
Wage offered:
$20.00 per hour for 30 to 44 hours per week

Job Duties:
- Supervise and provide daily care for two young children, ages 2 and 4, in a safe, caring, and structured home environment.
- Bathe, dress, feed, and assist the children with daily routines, including toileting, naps, meals, and bedtime preparation.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks suitable for the children’s ages, dietary needs, and family preferences.
- Plan and engage the children in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities that support learning, creativity, language development, and physical growth.
- Instruct and encourage the children in personal hygiene, manners, sharing, communication, and positive social behaviour.
- Guide and discipline the children using the methods requested by the parents, including gentle redirection, positive reinforcement, and consistent routines.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home by supervising play, removing hazards, and following family safety rules.
- Tend to the children’s emotional well-being by providing comfort, encouragement, patience, and attentive care throughout the day.
- Keep records of the children’s daily activities, meals, naps, behaviour, and any health-related concerns, and report updates to the parents.
- Take the children to and from daycare, preschool, appointments, playdates, or community activities as required by the parents.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children, including cleaning play areas, washing dishes used by the children, tidying bedrooms, and maintaining common areas used during care.
- Wash, fold, iron, and organize the children’s clothing, bedding, towels, and household linens as needed.
