Sunstar Commercial Services Ltd is looking for one (1) Cement Truck Driver who can start immediately. Applicants must be willing to work in various locations in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Wage:
$36.00 per hour for 30 to 60 hours per week
In accordance with all Provincial and Federal standards, overtime will be paid after 10 hours per day / 50 hours per week when the truck is operated within Alberta.
Overtime will be paid after 10 hours per day / 60 hours per week when the truck crosses interprovincial boundaries

Job Duties:
- Operate ready-mix concrete trucks to transport concrete from the batch plant to construction sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Position the truck at job sites and operate mixer drums, chutes, and extensions to discharge concrete as per site requirements.
- Monitor concrete consistency and rotation speed during transit to prevent premature setting or material segregation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brakes, tires, hydraulic systems, mixer drum, and safety equipment.
- Ensure safe loading, unloading, and washout procedures in compliance with environmental and site regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws, occupational health and safety standards, and company safety policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and plant personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and report delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery tickets, logbooks, mileage records, and hours-of-service documentation.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues requiring repair.
