Clear Choice Auto is Edmonton-based, specializing in the installation and distribution of glass tints and 3M protective films. Our foundations are built on dedicated hard work and the pursuit of quality. We need one (1) Autobody Technician who can start immediately. This is a regulated occupation, so only applicants with the required credentials to work as an Automotive Service Technician in Alberta will be considered.

Wage:

$37.50 per hour for 30 to 44 hours per week

Job Duties:

  • Review vehicle damage reports, repair estimates, photographs, and work orders to determine the required body and structural repairs.
  • Inspect damaged vehicles and plan the sequence of repair work based on safety requirements, manufacturer specifications, and shop production schedules.
  • Remove and replace damaged front-end parts, body panels, doors, bumpers, fenders, grilles, frame components, and underbody components.
  • Repair dents, buckles, creases, and other body defects using hammers, blocks, body tools, and specialized repair equipment.
  • Align and fit replacement panels and components, securing them by bolting, welding, or other approved repair methods.
  • Straighten bent or damaged vehicle frames and structural components using frame-straightening, pulling, measuring, and anchoring equipment.
  • Operate welding, soldering, grinding, and cutting equipment to repair or replace damaged metal components.
  • Apply plastic fillers and other repair materials to fill holes, dents, seams, and surface imperfections, and prepare repaired areas for refinishing.
  • Sand, mask, prime, and prepare vehicle surfaces for painting and refinishing.
  • Apply primers, paint, and protective coatings to repaired surfaces to restore the vehicle’s appearance and prevent corrosion.
  • Repair or replace damaged interior components, trim, mouldings, weather stripping, and related vehicle parts affected by collision damage.
  • Reassemble repaired vehicles and verify that doors, panels, lights, bumpers, and other components are properly aligned and functioning.
  • Conduct final inspections and road tests, where authorized, to confirm proper vehicle handling, alignment, safety, and repair quality.
  • Maintain tools, repair equipment, and the work area in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures, environmental standards, and Clear Choice Auto’s quality-control requirements when handling paints, solvents, welding equipment, and damaged vehicle components.
