We are looking for 1 reliable and hard working Carpenter for our company. This position will be full time with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week. Our company is located in Maple Ridge BC.
The job duties for this position will be:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures
- Supervise other construction workers
Job Requirements:
- English is required as a language
- Minimum one year of experience in similar field is required
- Completion of high School is required
What we offer:
- $36.60 per hour
- 4% vacation pay
