The Peace Region is an ideal location to live with nearby world-class cross country skiing, hiking, hunting or camping. It also features a wealth of community centres, family activities and school options for raising children. Housing is affordable with family homes priced starting in the $200Ks. Commuting in from Edmonton or Calgary for week on/week off is also a possibility. Compensation is production based but has a guaranteed minimum of $115k/year for part time (20 hrs a week) or $225k/year for full time (40 hrs a week). Full time position includes 4 weeks vacation.

Responsibilities
Tasks
- Adjust eyeglasses to fit customers
- Advise on use and care of contact lenses
- Examine patients’ eyes, conduct tests and use specialized instruments to determine visual efficiency
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and other vision aids to correct patients’ vision
- Prescribe treatment to conserve, improve and correct vision and other ocular disorders
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other physicians and surgeons when ocular or other diseases are found
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
