Gonni Holding is the industry leader in providing freight transportation throughout North America. We need eight (8) Truck Drivers. As part of our team, you will be required to operate a tractor-trailer and haul heavy loads of gravel over various distances. You will be required to depart for destinations thousands of kilometers away from home. You will be required to cross-interprovincial boundaries and travel over international routes across North America. You will be required to be away home for several days per week or weeks at a time.
Wage:
$26.00 per hour for 40 to 60 hours per week
As per Commercial Vehicle Drivers’ Hours of Service Regulation, Overtime will be paid after 60 hrs/week if truck driven out of Province.
Overtime will be paid after 10 hrs/day or 50 hrs/week if the truck is operated provincially in Alberta

Accident and incident reports; Trip reports; Trans-border documentation: Maintenance and repair reports; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Driven logbook; Bill of Lading

Communication Systems Experience:
Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Job Duties:
Perform preventive maintenance; Perform emergency roadside repairs; Pay and receive payment for good; Load and unload goods on trailers. Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport good and materials; Tarping and ensuring safety of cargo; Drive as part of two-person team or convoy; Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, operate correct levers at the correct level to tilt body of truck and dump gravel, occasionally set tailgate chains for measured spread of gravel
