Jamjar www.jam-jar.ca seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor. It’s a permanent full-time (40 hours per weekday, evening, weekend shift) position with a wage of $20.00/h, a 4% paid vacation. We offer extended health benefits and gratuities.

Job duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- Train and coach new employees.
- Create shift schedules and evaluate the performance of employees.
- Deal with customer complaints and solve issues.
- Assure quality of food and service.
- Keep records and prepare sales reports.
- Open and close the restaurant and complete checklists and procedures for cash reporting and inventory control.
- Handle cash.
- Maintain the supplies and inventory by estimating and ordering supplies required for smooth operation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure that all areas are kept clean at all times.
- Immediately report violations of safety or security policies to the Restaurant Manager.
Job requirements:
- Must have completed high school;
- Must have at least one year of experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, or Shift Manager experience in a restaurant;
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
- Must have organization skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Must be able to handle stress and work well under pressure.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be customer service oriented.
- Must be able to work flexible hours weekends.
- Must have time-management and decision-making skills and ability to multitask.
